Overview
A fully funded leadership opportunity from Brand South Africa and One Young World for young South Africans who are actively contributing to positive change. Six recipients will participate in the One Young World Summit 2026 in Cape Town and gain access to leadership development, acceleration and the global One Young World community.
What's on offer
Provides access to the One Young World Summit 2026 in Cape Town from 3–6 November 2026, catering during the Summit, and travel and accommodation where required. Cape Town-based recipients do not receive travel or accommodation. Recipients also gain access to the One Young World Global Leadership Programme, Action Accelerator and lifetime membership of the One Young World Ambassador Community.
Requirements
Applicants must be aged 18–30 at the time of the One Young World Summit 2026 and be a South African national or resident. They must demonstrate commitment to active citizenship and positive change in South Africa, show a track record of contributing time, money, skills or goods for the benefit of their community or wider society, and demonstrate understanding of important local and/or global issues affecting South Africa.
Ideal applicant
A young South African active citizen with a demonstrated record of creating positive social or community impact. Strong applicants are already taking practical action to improve their communities or society and understand significant challenges facing South Africa.
